ERIC KEAWEKANE
Senior Designer

Eric Keawekane

Eric’s artistic career began at adolescence when he worked as an apprentice to the great Ed “Big Daddy” Roth (creator of “Rat Fink”).  Since then, Eric has chosen to work independently with diverse clientelle, primarily grounded in the surf industry.  His client list includes industry leaders such as Billabong, O’Neill, and Honolua Surf Company, as well as mainstream companies like Disney, Holiday Inn, and Razor.

Eric embraces unique and culturally based inspiration (from his background and experiences), which resonates in the island/surf flavor of his work.  Eric’s artistic breadth is evident in his portfolio which includes both commercial design as well as fine art.  Spending most of his artistic time in front of a computer screen, he enjoys the occasional freedom of moving a paintbrush “outside of the mousepad’s corners”.

Holding a BFA and Secondary Teaching Credential, Eric spends much of his time teaching youth how to explore their creative potential – a worthy endeavor that he loves.
